Tropedia

  • Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

(So, there's all the evidence for "Bumblebee" being a prequel, and none for being a reboot (except a change in tone and director, which isn't a solid indication of a reboot), yet everyone still insists it's a reboot and not a prequel.)

  • Continuity Snarl: How Bumblebee fits into this series. Despite everyone (including this very wiki) insisting that it's a Contunity Reboot, the movie still has Bumblebee in his Bayformers design, he receives the injury that leaves him mute for the rest of the series, and it features Sector Seven (complete with a young Seymour Simmons).
  • Germans Love David Hasselhoff: In sharp contrast to how the country of origin views the films, the film franchise is surprisingly popular outside the US such as Malaysia.
  • No Problem With Licensed Games/The Problem with Licensed Games: The tie-in games zig-zag between these tropes, and in some cases subvert the two.
    • In the former′s case, there′s the Nintendo DS versions of Transformers: The Game and Revenge of the Fallen, along with the Sega Light Gun Games Human Alliance and Shadows Rising.
    • As for the latter, there's Rise of the Dark Spark, not to mention the PSP version of Transformers: The Game and Dark of the Moon: Stealth Force Edition for the Wii and the 3DS.
    • Subversive examples would include the console games for the first film, Revenge of the Fallen, and Dark of the Moon, the latter of which is considered to be a step down from the developers' previous and later Transformers games, War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron, respectively.
