Officer: I pulled you over for riding a — riding a — what's that thing? |
- Anticlimax Boss: After being hyped up as as the Dreaded, Mother Nature is simply a Reasonable Authority Figure who forces the Misers to cooperate. Though the special does hint that she is a Beware the Nice Ones Humanoid Abomination.
- Crowning Moment of Heartwarming / Tear Jerker: The "Blue Christmas" sequence, anyone? Seeing all the children of the world banding together to tell Santa that they love him and cannot fathom Christmas without him simply had to melt a few hearts.
- Ear Worm: Both of the Misers' Image Songs:
- "I'm Mr. White Christmas! I'm Mr. Snow!/ I'm Mr. Icicle! I'm Mr. 10 below! / Friends call me Snow Miser — whatever I touch / Turns to snow in my clutch! / I'm too much!"
- "I'm Mr. Green Christmas! I'm Mr. Sun! / I'm Mr. Heat Blister! I'm Mr. 101! / They call me Heat Miser — whatever I touch / Starts to melt in my clutch! / I'm too much!"
- Ensemble Darkhorse: The Miser brothers, which led to them getting their own special several decades later.
- Epileptic Trees: Given that Snow Miser never wants to go above 50 degrees and Heat Miser never wants to go below, is there a third Miser out there who represents the temperate zone?
- Evil Is Cool: See "Ensemble Darkhorse" above
- Jerkass Woobie: Heat Miser isn't exactly evil but the fact that he says "They call me Heat Miser" instead of mirroring his brother's "Friends call me Snow Miser", and the implications therein, has made him rather sympathetic in the internet's eyes.
- Just Here for Godzilla: After seeing it the first time, the real reason you'll see it again is because of the Miser brothers.
- Unfortunate Implications: Somewhat stronger than mere implications: despite just finishing an entire musical number about the idea, Mrs. Claus abandons her initial plan to substitute for Santa simply because Jingle and Jangle recognized her — when she wasn't wearing anything that counted as a disguise. She then hands over almost all plot advancement to male characters — at least until it comes time to talk to Mother Nature.
