The Suite Life of Zack and Cody

  • Hey, It's That Guy!:
    • You might recognize Mr. Moseby as Hooch (he isn't crazy though)
      • Oh, yes he is. He just doesn't threaten to run people over with speed-metal blaring SUVs.
    • Maddie is obviously Sharpay.
    • Aunt Hilda as Ilsa Shickelgrubermeiger.
    • Nicole Sullivan as Miss Klotz, Moseby's predecessor as Cruise Director of the S.S. Tipton. Also a case of Hey, It's That Voice!, as long-time Disney Channel viewers will recognize her as the voice of Shego.
    • Nathan Kress from rival show ICarly as an Inspirationally Disabled kid who rediscovers his love of basketball.
    • Doc from The Love Boat in the episode "Not So Suite 16".
    • Alex Russo in the episode "A Midsummer's Nightmare".
    • Hayley Steele also in the episode "A Midsummer's Nightmare".
    • Rip Taylor and Cheryl Burke in the episode "Loosely Ballroom".
    • Victoria Justice from "Zoey101" and "Victorious" as beauty pagent contestant Rebecca in "The Fairest of Them All".
    • Tom Poston in "Ah, Wilderness!"(His final role).
    • Max, a friend of the twins from the first two seasons, is played by Disney Channel yeoman Alyson Stoner.
    • When Zack and Cody go to the movies in one episode, the employee Zack bribes with a dollar bill is Z.
    • Look closely at the credits; you'll notice veteran producer Kelly Sandefur, who also worked as one of the Voltron staffers.
    • Daniella Monet as mean head cheerleader Dana in "Benchwarmers".
    • Remember that one time Zac Efron played Maddie's political opposite and they ended up making out?
      • Well, I guess Sharpay finally got what she wanted...
    • Cole Sprouse played Ross Geller's son Ben on Friends.
  • Retroactive Recognition: Dr. Chip Walters was played by David Blue, who would go on to be better known as Eli Wallace of Stargate Universe.

The Suite Life on Deck

  • Directed by Cast Member: Several episodes are directed by Phill Lewis.
  • Fake Nationality: Foreigners are generally played by American actors. This was also once Double Subverted -- they visit England, and the guest star of the week is Charles Shaughnessy, who actually is British -- but by the end of the episode, the character has been revealed to be Belgian. Go figure.
    • In one episode, it's revealed that London is at least part Thai. Her actress, Brenda Song, is of Laos descent.
  • Hey, It's That Guy!:
    • Windell Middlebrooks (The Miller High Life guy) as security guard Kirby.
    • Ed Begley, Jr. as the mayor of the Martin family's ancestral hometown in Sweden.
    • Charles Shaughnessy as the Scotland Yard detective charged with finding a stolen Sherlock Holmes manuscript who was, in fact, the thief, a Belgian collector posing as a detective.
    • Captain Steubing from The Love Boat in the episode "The Wrong Stuff" IMDb also claims that he appeared in "Mom and Dad on Deck", but that may be an error.
    • Charo as Esteban's mother in the episode "Mother of the Groom".
    • Kathy Lee Gifford as a has-been model turned modeling agent from hell in the episode "Model Behavior".
    • Erin Cardillo who plays Emma Tutweiller, played Esme on the soap opera Passions.
    • The one, the only George Takei as London's great-great....great-grandson and future Expy Rome Tipton.
    • Andy Richter as Brother Theodore, leader of the non-religious monastery Cody joins.
    • Harold the Herald from "Maddie on Deck" was played by Scott Dreier, who Sonic the Hedgehog fans will recognize as the voice of Knuckles in Sonic Heroes and Sonic Adventure 2.
    • No, Laurel Mercer is not a mermaid
  • Fake Russian: The episode "Das Boots" had Sasha Matryoshka, a Russian junior chess champion played by Cody Kennedy, who's of Russian ancestry, but otherwise American as apple pie.
