  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

1-1 Encounter[]

Cquote1

"Hey, I found you in my yard, and I'm helping treat your injuries. You owe me some sort of explanation - Like what you're doing here in the first place. Where did you even come from? You said you were a wizard, but those things don't exist. So, are you a liar, stalker, or just plain mad?"

Cquote2

While lamenting her father's sudden week-long business leave, Akemi Segawa is spending her Sunday afternoon tending to the shrine and doing her chores. She feels jipped at first, not even having said good-bye, but then realizes that her family members are insane and that she should be used to it by now.

Interrupting her lovely spring day is what appears to be a black haze in the sky. It's gone faster than she can blink, leaving her wondering if it was even there in the first place. As she gets back to doing her chores, Akemi hears and feels the loud thud of something crashing into the ground. A string of curses follows suit, leading her to the section of trees towards the front of the property.

There she finds a boy dressed entirely in blue sitting on his rear and rubbing the back of his head in pain. He then starts to look for a book of his, believing that it had fallen somewhere, but remembers that he hid it inside of his imagination. Not ten seconds later, he pulls said book out of his ear.

Akemi's first thought is to, of course, hit him. Unfortunately for her, the boy's reaction is this as well. If Akemi hadn't shrieked at being attacked, she would've been roundhouse-kicked into the nearest tree. The boy instantly realizes that he nearly hit a girl and begins to apologize an innumerable amount of times out of guilt. He only then begins to question why Akemi hit him in the first place. Akemi says she thought he was a demon. He shakes his head in amusement, and corrects her.

Rokuro: "I'm Rokuro, a Type One wizard. No last name applicable."

Cquote2

Akemi, of course, thinks he's gone off the deep end and tries to talk some sense into him. From this, Rokuro realizes that he's somehow wound up in the first dimension and starts having a panic attack. He only calms down when his head starts to hurt again. Akemi, suspecting that he could possibly have worse than just cuts and bruises from his fall, drags him inside her kitchen and begins to treat him - Much to his displeasure. When he tries to escape, Akemi grabs his ear and sits him back down, demanding an explanation.

Rokuro tells her more about who he is and where he comes from - He is indeed a wizard, he's from the second dimension (Known as Mahokkai), and his body can heal itself. Akemi is all but skeptical of him before he shows her a holomap of his home world. That was really all the proof she needed.

Akemi questions as to what he's doing on Earth at all, much to his chagrin. He got caught in the Hakobuttori - A dimension-switching portal - and ended up in the next world over, unable to get back on account of him being a novice wizard without much power. Feeling sorry for the stranger, Akemi asks him if he'd like to stay with her until he can go home. Rokuro accepts the offer, albeit reluctantly, but forgets to mention the time span until the very end of the chapter.

Cquote1

Akemi: "How long until this 'universe-teleporter-system' thing comes around again?"

Rokuro: "Err... ... ..."

Akemi: "Answer me, Rokuro-kun. How long?"

Rokuro: "... A year?"

Cquote2

A short outburst from Akemi ensues, signaling that she had not expected the time frame to be so long. A mistake on her part, but hilarious for us.
