Tropedia

  • Before making a single edit, Tropedia EXPECTS our site policy and manual of style to be followed. Failure to do so may result in deletion of contributions and blocks of users who refuse to learn to do so. Our policies can be reviewed here.
  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

This a Just For Fun page

So you've created a new Trope? Good for you. But how to describe it? You don't want to look like you're favoring your favorite shows too much do you? Unfortunately you can't just explain what your new Trope is, you need a clear example in the summary text.

That's where this cast list comes in. On here the tropers create generic characters to use as examples...and for fun. Feel free to add your own characters or edit or add a portrait to an existing one.

Use the following format for cast members;

[Picture (optional)]

  • Name: [Character's name]
  • Age: [Age]
  • Occupation: [Do I still need to explain this?]
  • History: [Paragraph or two outlining their origin, citing as many tropes as possible]

And now, without further ado...

  • Name: This Troper
  • Age: Unknown
  • Occupation: Everyman
  • History: This Troper is one of the dullest people in Troperville. He (or possibly she, no one really ever remembers) just exists to fill out the population.

Previously free to go on about his/her opinions and personal stories on the Trope pages, he now finds him increasingly restricted to Troper Tales and discussion pages. Whether this makes him bitter and yearning for revenge is unknown.

  • Name: Officer Trope
  • Age: 30's
  • Occupation: Policeman
  • History: Troperville's resident Bobby on the beat. He cheerfully patrols the streets arresting ne'er-do-wells and keeping a watchful eye over Captain Tropeworthy. Despite public pressure he's failed to either bring in The Tropinator or even solve any real crimes. In his defense, though, allegations of Police Brutality are rare.

  • Name: Justy Fyre
  • Age: 27
  • Occupation: Amoral Attorney
  • History: When it comes to her clients she's really a Wide-Eyed Idealist. It's a shame she always ends up defending Evil Troperlord or prosecuting The Tropinator.

[Picture Unable To Be Found Due To DIRTY OTHER WIKIAN PLOT]

  • Name: WHY DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?!
  • Age: YOU'LL NEVER TRACK ME DOWN
  • Occupation: Untersturmfuhrer, according to Census reports
  • History: This person completely and utterly refused to release information due to his continually stated loathing of agents of a mysterious shadow organization we're pretty sure doesn't exist.
