It's rare to see Killbane so understanding

  • After raiding the armory, Shaundi is prepared to go after Loren, not caring that the Saints are not prepared to do so. The Boss reassures her that they will take care of it, and talks her down.
  • The Boss and Pierce start singing Sublime's What I Got during one of the first missions. It just comes off as one of the most memorable parts of the game because of the chemistry it generates between the two characters, trying to stay happy after Gat's death. Probably doubles as a Crowning Music of Awesome too.
  • After the Richard Hughes Memorial Bridge is destroyed by the Luchadores, Ultor run commercials promoting an effort to rebuild the bridge and promising to match donations made by the citizens towards its repair. The Saints have a huge stake in Ultor, which means that even if they didn't initiate this campaign, they were at least aware of it and supported it. At the end of the first game, Richard Hughes himself tried to kill the Boss but was ultimately betrayed by Julius and killed in the same explosion that put the Boss in a coma, and his wife Monica is one of the villains of this game. Considering all the funerals the Boss has been attacked at and all the friends they've lost that they've never had time to mourn, they're willing to help undo the damage to someone else's memorial, even if both the person it honors and the person who erected it are enemies.
  • When the Boss and Pierce go to Kinzie's place, Pierce spots a picture of the late Lin on a wall and immediately grabs it before the Boss can see. Even with all the insults Pierce gets, he still cares deeply for them.
  • Zimos may be a pimp, but he rescues girls from abusive pimps, and his assassination missions usually deal with killing people being mean to women. Plus, during The Ho Boat, he tries to make sure the rescued girls feel safe. Even further, he seems to have no problem with his girls unionizing. As far as pimps go, Zimos seems to genuinely care about his hos.
  • Viola's Heel Face Turn after the events of Trojan Whores. Even considering the Boss killed her father figure Loren, she is willing to work with the Saints to get revenge on the man who killed her twin sister.
  • Viola will reminisce about how Loren was like a father to her and her sister. Considering what players saw of him, It makes us see him in a new light.
  • After the Saints beat the Deckers and drive Matt Miller out of Steelport, Killbane allows him to leave on good terms (and even offers himself as a reference). Given how demanding Killbane is and how dangerously short a fuse he has, it says a lot about how much he genuinely trusts and appreciates Matt as an associate to just let him walk away and not even send his thugs to kill him later.
  • During 3 Count Beat Down, Angel says he didn't try to get his mask back despite knowing where it was. He explained that his spirit was broken, and didn't feel worthy of having it. He said that meeting the Saints motivated him to earn his back back. Through the Saints' confidence in his abilities, they gave Angel the psychological boost he needed to reclaim his life after his public humiliation at Killbane's hands.
  • Oleg confessing his love for Kinzie during Three Way.
  • In the "Kill Killbane" route, Shaundi and Viola die in the explosion on the monument. When Cyrus attacks the city in his Daedalus at the start of STAG Film, the Boss plants bombs in specific spots on the ship and dedicates each bomb to a fallen homie. That includes Viola, showing that despite their initial animosity and them constantly teasing her, they still considered them as one of the Saints.
  • At the end of STAG Film (if Killbane was killed), the Saints walk out of the studio after declaring Steelport a sovereign state under their rule and the Boss offers Pierce up a position of power as Mayor. Considering what the guy's been through since joining the gang, it's really sweet.
  • Throughout the Gangstas in Space DLC, the Boss keeps Jenny's spirits up in the face of their Jerkass Prima Donna Director.
  • If Kinzie and Viola are homies together, Kinzie admires Viola's hair, and Viola tells her she can show her how to wash it so hers can be shiny as well. Kinzie responds by saying she sees Viola as a sister.
