- To put into perspective how much of a badass Jack Bauer really is... he had Imhotep and RoboCop running scared from him... and during season seven, Cell was a minor villain. In her personal life, she dates extraterrestrial Negro Leaguer Josh Exley and pilgrim father James Winthrop, almost marries Tony Stark, and chats up young Simba online. Her past, in the form of daughter Claire Bennet, catches up to her in the final season. Also, Tony Stark and Jean Grey had a kid together.
- Andromeda: Hercules interacts with starship A.I.s Dr. Carolyn Lam, Teal'C and Daniel Jackson while his first officer keeps running into Q.
- Angels in America (oh boy): Sophie Zawistowska is a dead commie spy; Prof. Trelawney is an angel; Satan is a closeted politician oppressing gays who gets AIDS (Farmer Hoggett is his doctor and Felix Leiter is his gay/transvestite nurse who makes use of his unfinished meds); the Vicount de Nite Owl is the main protagonist (Nancy Botwin is related to him somehow); and Dumbledore 2.0 is someone's ancestor.
- Arrested Development: David Hogan becomes head of the family company after his father Hank Kingsley is arrested (he's got the worst bleeping lawyers, including The Fonz and Charles), and has to look after his relatives, including son Paulie Bleeker, mother Fran Sinclair, brothers Devon Banks and Emmett Milbarge, sister Nell Porter, and brother-in-law Yivo. The whole thing is narrated by Opie Taylor.
- Ashes to Ashes: Lara Croft is shot and lands in 1981, where she is rescued by Galvin. They work together until Lara suspects that Galvin murdered The Master, after a suggestion by Cass Cromwell.
- Awake: Lucius Malfoy is certain that one of two realities (one where his wife is alive while his son is dead, and vis-versa) is real and one's just a dream, but which one? Maybe the one where his partner is Fes and/or his therapist is Gen. Shang?

- Babylon 5: Tron takes over from the previous captain, Will Robinson is the aide to ambassador Danielle Rousseau, Bobby Wheeler is a security officer and the most ruthless member of the Psi-Corps is Pavel Chekov.
- Stephen King's Bag of Bones (miniseries): James Bond (or Charon to the younger folks) is an author suffering from writer's block in Maine while getting over the death of his wife Elizabeth Bartlet and is haunted or something by Tiana.
- Band of Brothers: Patrick Jane has Ross Geller for a very insufferable Drill Sargent Nasty-wanna-be. Forrest Gump's real life son is a rookie soldier. Shaun appears for all of two episodes before being killed on D-day, Zack has a talent for mimicking voices, Gabriel dies after getting hit with an artillery shell, and shortly before that Tim Woods gets his leg blown off while trying to help a friend. Also Rufus Humphrey runs right past the Germans in Foye and makes it back all in one piece, and Peter Gibbons is Yassen Gregorovich's best friend. - Castle: Captain Hammer, a famous mystery novelist, teams up with Detective Hana Gitelman of the NYPD. They Fight Crime.

- Cheers: Becker owns a bar in Boston, serving drinks to regulars Chet Bronski, Ao-gaeru the mailman, Captain Bateson (who was married for a time to Annabelle), and assorted others. Becker's employees have included Anna Crowley, Lt. Saavik, Zinnia, Constantine, and Larry Flynt.
- Chicago Hope: Agent Montoya, Hotch, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Leon Vance, Jenny Shepard, the first actor to portray Dale the Whale, Dr. Neven Bell, Sonya Paxton, Larry Fleinhardt, Liz Cruz, among many others are all doctors.
- Chuck: Miranda Lawson and Jayne protect the titular Chuck, a geek who knows the secrets of the government, which were e-mailed to him by Neal Caffrey. Oh, and Chuck's ex is Lucy Diamond and his long-lost parents are Capt. Archer and Sarah Fucking Connor. Trinity will be a spy (no word yet if she's a hacker). In the final season, one of their enemies is Torture Technician (adult) Mystique.
- The Cleaner: Agent Matthews is the leader of a drug intervention team that includes Boomer. It would probably be better for him to spend more time with his family, since his daughter can send him to a cornfield (and back) if she feels like it.
- Columbo: Fred Savage's grandpa is a scruffy but brilliant cop who FBI Agent Bill Maxwell, Pussy Galore, Oliver Wendell Douglas, James West (and his partner Artemus Gordon), Cornelius, Lila Loomis, Sam Loomis (no relation), Mark Sloan, The Prisoner, Mr. Roarke, Rollin Hand, the Genovian head of security, Boss Hogg, Supergirl, Victor Ehrlich and both Kirk AND Spock think they can outwit. They're all wrong. Although in one episode Marion Crane does get away with it, there are extenuating circumstances in that she isn't long for this world.
- Community: An FBI agent has to deal with very eccentric junior college staff and students like an insane Asian gangster and Clark Griswald.
- Cracker: Hagrid is a criminal psychologist who works for Manchester police force, under The Ninth Doctor and later Jim Royle. He works most closely with his partner Lily Potter with who there is unresolved sexual tension, despite the fact he is married to a long suffering Mary Queen of Scotts.
- Criminal Minds: Inigo Montoya and Greg lead a group of FBI profilers who engage in the occasional Hannibal Lecture. Inigio is later replaced by Joan's dad.
- Dr. Reid's mom is a tyrannical cheerleading coach (yes really).
- Dawson is a guy with serious daddy issues, in that he's also his daddy and a really judgmental angel.
- George Costanza is a Smug Snake Insufferable Genius killer.
- Malcolm is a comic book artist who goes all Sin City after his girlfriend is brutally killed.
- The demon Azazel is a decidedly un-perky goth rockstar and Livingston Dell is his loyal manager and a Poisonous Friend manipulating a Psycho Supporter, unbeknownst to him.

- ER: Some of the many, many medical personnel who've populated the show: Danny Ocean and his love interest Alicia Florrick, Uncle Jessie, DeSoto the saber-toothed tiger, Velma, Mulan, River Song, Steve Smith, and Jasminder. Patients included Miranda Hobbes as a paralyzed(?) woman, both Sam Winchester and his father, John, and maybe Rubin Tishkoff as a dying man who earns a bit of redemption.
- Eureka: in season 4, Gaius Baltar hitchhikes a ride from the 1940s back to the present. Later, superhacker Chaos guest-stars as the head of the nonviolent weapons lab.
- Everwood: Doctor Achilles Milo uproots his children Alan Abernathy and Marcee to move to a practice in Colorado. Alan becomes infatuated with Rebecca Harper, but she's still in love with her comatose boyfriend Jak.
- Family Matters: Sgt. Powell and his family live next door to Sonic the Hedgehog, an Extraverted Nerd who finds all sorts of ways to spice up their lives (especially those of the Sarge's children).

- Our Mrs Reynolds: Joan marries one of the Two Guys.

- Jaynestown :President Logan gets Adria to sleep with his son whilst John Casey has a statue and a song about him.
- Heart Of Gold: The Yellow-Eyed Demon starts harassing a poor pregnant whore so the brothel's madam, Julie Cooper, calls in Captain Hammer and his crew of outlaws (which includes John Casey, Jasmine, Alpha, Cameron, and Dr. Keller) to take care of the problem.
- Our Mrs Reynolds: Joan marries one of the Two Guys.
- Flash Forward: Harold and William Shakespeare, with a little help from Peter Griffin, try to solve a massive global mystery. And Shakespeare's wife Penny will cheat on him with Steve Norrington, who is secretly working with Charlie to destroy or possibly save the world.
- Fortysomething: House is Sherlock's dad.
- Forever Knight: James Nathanson is an 800 year old vampire detective who befriends coroner Maggie Norton. All the while being tormented by Paroo.
- Frasier: (retroactive) Beast and Abe Sapien are neurotic brothers living in Seattle with their maid, Miss Ladybug.
- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air: Jay got in one little fight and his mom got scared, so he had to move with his auntie and uncle (Shredder) to Bel-Air.
- Friends: Six twenty-somethings live in New York and have various misadventures. Melman The Giraffe has an on-again, off-again relationship with Grace Connelly, while Melman's sister, Jules Cobb, eventually finds love with Joe Quincy. Elsewhere, Ursula Buffay is a Cloudcuckoolander who eventually marries Brian Fantana. Last but not least, Major Don West is a struggling actor.

- Joey: Major Don West goes to Los Angeles to find his fame. There he's joined by Linda Zwordling, his Love Interest; Adriana La Cerva, his sister; and his cousin, Evan Lawson. Stifler's mom is his agent.

- A Gifted Man: The Vicount de Nite Owl is a skilled but kind of arrogant surgeon who is pestered into opening a free(?) clinic by the ghost of his dead wife.
- Game of Thrones: Boromir and a one-eyed reporter deal with deadly intrigue in a crapsack Low Fantasy world.
- Lt. Gordon's son is an amoral princeling good thing he's killed off quickly.
- Ghost Whisperer: Eliza Thornberry's big sister sees dead people.
- The V.U.P. is the nominal leader of a bunch of ghosts who are very embarrassed about how they *weren't* buried.

- Also, why is Hiro the one chopping up and poking around inside bodies in the remake? That was supposed to be Sylar's thing, though he tended to stick to just the head...
- Locke will be rejoining Jin on the island.
- Hawthorne: Toki the iron worker is a tough but caring nurse.
- Hellcats: Keely (whose mom is Donna Abandando) and Sharpay (whose sister is the Yellow Ranger) are cheerleaders at a Tennessee college. Marilyn Sudor is their coach. Oh, and Clark Kent is one of the show's producers.

- Higher Ground: At a boarding school for troubled teens overseen by Sully, an abused, drug-addicted Anakin Skywalker falls in love with an also-abused former prostitute, JJ Jarreau. - How I Met Your Mother: Danny Tanner is telling the story to his kids Dylan Mayfair and Justin Russo about how he met their mother who is not Dr. Reid or Dylan Messinger. The story includes a lot of side stories involving his friends who include Nick Andopolis, Willow, and Doogie Howser,
- Human Target: The title character gets some badass backup from an intimidating detective and Rorschach!
- Kamen Rider Decade: Keigo Atobe (musical version) is the strongest Kamen Rider of all time, and he must save the multiverse.

- That 70s Show: Venom is a kid growing up in 1970s Wisconsin. His social circle includes Karen, Milo, Walden Schmidt, Meg Griffin, and Manny Garcia. Venom's parents are Clarence Boddicker and Alice Knight and Karen's dad is the Rhino. Milo fequently hangs out with Man Stoner.
- Three's Company: Clifford the Big Red Dog pretends he's gay so that he can live with two girls (including dumb blonde Carol Lambert) without rousing the suspicions of his landlords, stick-in-the mud Mr. McCleery and his sex-starved wife Frances Temple. Carol later moves out and is replaced, first by klutzy farm girl Jamie Ewing Barnes, then by intelligent nurse Della Churchill. Mr. McCleery and Frances also move away and are replaced by goofy, flamboyantly-dressed Barney Fife as the new landlord.
- Tipping the Velvet: Emma Peel's lesbian daughter, working as an oyster-girl in Victorian Whitstable, falls in love with music-hall drag king Alex Drake.
- A Touch of Frost:Del Boy is a serious and devoted detectictive, determined to put criminals behind bars, while hoping the police don't notice him selling dodgy dvds and microwaves
- Treme: Dr. Alexx and Sully are among many people in The Big Easy dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
- True Blood: Rogue and her evil owl brother discover All Myths Are True when Vampires break The Masquerade. Dangerous characters include Regina George, a very depressed woman's bridegroom, and Elliot Stabler.

- Unforgettable: Agent Samantha J. Rowling (now a redhead) has a Photographic Memory.
- Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise and Fall of Jack Johnson (not the surfer/singer): Imam Goliath narrates while Jules personifies the larger-than-life Johnson, who had the nerve to be a fast-living sports star in 1910 and African American at the same time. Darth Vader later portrays Johnson in a play, which strikes a chord with Muhammad Ali ("Just replace women with religion and that's my story!").
- Up All Night: Kelly Bundy and GOB Bluth take care of the infant daughter of her boss, an average prostitute.
- V : Man-Bat, with help from Darryl Revok and Victor Basta, forms a team of Earthlings to fight against man-eating aliens lead by Miss Peacock. Freddy Krueger is one of the few good aliens in the series... and he's also the comic relief.
- The Vampire Diaries: Boone is evil to his little brother. Mia is caught between Boone and his brother, and finds out that her Uncle Sark is actually her father.
- Veep: Elaine is a heartbeat away from being the first female president.
- War of the Worlds: Steven Farlow, Mercedes, Tripp Hansen, Poncho and Dory Quimby fight off aliens. The second season introduces The Lone Man, his scientist Jean Gray and her assistant Otto as the leaders of a Time skipped new invasion.
- Weeds: Nemo wants to be a drug dealer, just like his mommy (who was almost Charlotte)! Juni is also involved.
- The West Wing: President Captain Willard is elected to lead America, with his wife, Rizzo, and their daughters, including Peggy Olson. His chief of staff, Tommy Mullaney, with deputy Danny Tripp, work with a communication's director who returned to Jurassic Park, press secretary Ms Perky, and a Young Number 2 speechwriter.
- A particularly jarring one: they have to pick a ranking member of the government to stay in the White House during the State of the Union, just in case. Who does the President pick to run the country if everyone is blown up? The Mayor of Sunnydale!
- White Collar: The co-manager of the Carnivale is responsible for Bryce Larkin, who's helping the FBI solve white-collar crimes while wearing a Nice Hat together with Stanford Blatch and looking for his girlfriend, Annabeth Chase. Then she died, and he somehow ended up dating Repo Woman Peyton Sawyer.
- Wings: Superman and Jack Rudolph are two brothers who co-own an airline. Monk taxis people to and from the airport.
- Wizards of Waverly Place: Coop and Hawkgirl settle down and have three kids: Mikayla, Ted's future son, and Diego. They're wizards!
