Ah! My Goddess: Tenchi Masaki is an ordinary college student who accidentally gets The Boss to be his girlfriend. The Boss's sisters Ivy and Storm are also major characters.
Ao No Exorcist: Accelerator learns he and his genius brother Lelouch are the sons of Satan, which unintentionally causes their surrogate father Maes Hughes to die. He goes to a school run by Izaya to learn how to become an exorcist.
Asura Cryin: Nuts and his childhood ghost friend, Ayame, find out from Mina that they can summon a giant robot thing. At the same time, a fire-throwing demon Miko by the name of Ichijou comes into Nuts' life to help him figure out just what's going on.
OVA Series: Space Police officer Sailor Moon accidentally kills Kensuke Aida while chasing after an intergalactic criminal, and winds up Sharing a Body with Kensuke until she can shut down their syndicate, run by Sharon Apple. Solid Snake, another member of the syndicate, at one point breaks Sailor Moon's arm, and C.C. is interested in Kensuke.
Decode: Same premise and the crime syndicate is still run by Sharon (though she's not seen as much this time), but the Space Police officer is Nina Einstein and she has an Idol Singer disguise, the kid she accidentally kills is Haku, it's Jet Black who breaks Nina's arm, Amu is just friends with Haku, and Mari Illustrious Makinami is Haku's love interest. In the second season, we find out that Nina was friends with Teru Mikami and Teru's taking care of Melfina.
Hueco Mundo Arc: Auel, Rivalz, and Germany barge into Mitsuhide's realm to save Alisa, meeting up with Meia and Chester, alongside Chiyo Miyama. On the other hand, Mitsuhide assembles a group of elite Arrancars, but only sends out Yuu (knocks Auel out), Thouzer (beaten by Nightmare), Archer (beaten by Auel), Yuri Lowell (beaten by Freeza), Rude (beaten by Alucard) and Rau le Creuset (beaten by Meia). But it was only a discretion so Mitsuhide could advance to the next stage...
(Filler) New Captain Arc: In some sort of an Alternate Universe, the empty seat of Shadow is replaced by Captain America who also brought in his 3rd seat Asakim Dowin. Conspiracy around a princess named Kaolla Su happens and it is later revealed that both Cap and Asakim are the actual antagonists. They're swiftly killed and Cap hits the Ret-Gone button on him.
Beast Sword Arc: After Dio and Graham's demise, things have yet to calm down as other 'released spirits' are still out to wreak havoc. The good guys and their weapon spirits try to quell the chaos, although Litchi ends up striking a tragic relationship with Leonhardt Raglen. All the troubles eventually led to AlbertWesker, and after taking him out, most weapons spirits return in peace for good.
Fake Karakura Town Arc: The good guys consisting Shanoa (a replacement of Nanaly), Jonathan, Ciel (arriving late), Doggie, Doukokuu, Snake, Altair, Ed, Neon and Squall face off against Mitsuhide's bad guys spearheaded by Wolverine, Mons Drake and Sailor Uranus. In the meantime, Auel had his final showdown with Yuu, while Alucard and Raoh teamed up to beat Tager. Lots of bad guys die, including Shagia.
Deicide Arc: The good guys fell thanks to Mitsuhide's power, even with the help of Lockon, Chidori, and Auel's father Kyosuke Nanbu. Shadow betrayed Mitsuhide only to be killed, but then thanks to a Training From Hell provided by Kyosuke, Auel managed to kick Mitsuhide's ass (after transforming Wanyuudo into Yosuke Hanamura).
Substitute Shinigami Arc: Auel thinks he's had his normal life again while helping Matsu run her unagi shop... until he's confronted with Ovan to confront his brainwashing friend Sebastian Michaelis, who's had his sights on everyone Auel dears on. With the help of Ovan's friend, Aqua, Auel retrains for battle again... Ovan is also a Big Bad like Nameless.
Final War Arc: Not going to be animated, but still... after surviving the Fake Karakura arc, Sailor Uranus has been kidnapped and Chiyo had to drag Auel to beat her captors.
Memories of a Nobody: Auel attempts to stop Sazh Katroy to sacrifice Hitagi Senjougahara to achieve his utopia. Sazh is beaten, but Senjougahara still dies and reincarnates.
Diamond Dust Rebellion: After Finn is accused of treachery, Auel tried to solve the mystery of it, only to find Finn's old, vengeful friend Kuja behind this.
Fade to Black: Meia has brothers and sisters in form of Nozomu Itoshiki and Haruhi Suzumiya. But now they're erasing Auel's memories and they want to keep Meia only for them...
Hell Verse: Ribbons Almark kidnaps Auel's sister and Auel must save her, helped by Date Masamune. However, Masamune was actually the mastermind of the whole event.
Blood-C: Lan Fan is a Miko who battles vampire-like creatures.
Brave 10: Snow Villiers is constantly being pestered to protect by shrine maiden Yui Emelia Mitsukihara, which culminates him staying along with the famous general Charlie Nash who employs 'ninja/assassins' like Jin Kisaragi and Rider (Snow's childhood friend) and recruiting some more, all while dealing those who wants to capture Yui Emelia, which includes ninja Cloud Strife and one-eyed general Tekkaman Evil
Buso Renkin: After being killed by a homunculus, Lelouch Lamperouge is revived by a strange heart implant that doubles as his signature weapon. His partner-in-action, Ino Yamanaka, fights against the homunculi with a series of blades hidden beneath her school uniform.

Canaan: Beginning professional photographer Aiko Kudo travels to Shanghai to meet Asami Iwasawa, a girl who saved Aiko before. Crona targets her, causing Asami to rescue her again. Every now and again, Giroro shows up as a Taxi driver.
Chobits: Kyon discovers Lacus Clyne in the trash, and eventually begins to develop feelings for him.
Code Geass: Watanuki teams up with mysterious waif Meiling to form a guerrilla army so they can make the world a better place for Eureka. Along the way, they team up with Tenma. However, Chiyo's Dad has other plans.
D.Gray-man: Akira Toya is a boy with a deformed left arm that has special abilities powered by a substance called Innocence. He gets sent by his master, Abel Nightroad to an organization called the Black Order which consists of its leader Haji and exorcists such as Himawari Kunogi and Syaoran, who like Toya also harbors Innocence. Death the Kid is also the vitriolic best bud of Suzaku Kururugi and later on, they recruit more exorcists like Erza Scarlet and Shotaro Kaneda. The Black Order specializes in defeating the Akuma and their creator Count Brocken, who wants to hunt Innocence and destroy them as well as humanity. Brocken himself is aided by the Noah clan which consists of Sephiroth, and Snow, amongst others.
Deadman Wonderland: Edward Elric is wrongfully accused of killing his classmates, so he's taken to a hybrid theme park/prison run by Keigo Atobe, where J works as a guard.
Death Note: Death the Kid finds a mystical artifact that causes people to die if their name is written in it. Shin'ichi Kudo, the world's greatest detective, tries to stop him. Once Shin'ichi dies, Akane Tendo and Oz take his place.
Dragon Ball Kai: After alien invaders, Captain Falcon and Mr. 1 kill several of Guilmon's allies, the remaining heroes must venture into space to gather the Namekian Dragon Balls. Unfortunately, they are unaware that someone else is after these mystical artifacts, the most fearsome dictator in the galaxy, "Him".
After they defeat Him, Mao comes from the future to tell Guilmon that two androids, Black Pegasus and Miyo Takano, will arrive in three years to kill everyone. What Mao did not expect was a third android, Seto Kaiba with green hair, as well as a much bigger threat, Victoream.
Dragon Crisis: Keima Katsuragi is an ordinary high school student until C.C., his second cousin returns from America forcing him to join her unauthorized organization. The two intercept a trade and discover what was being traded - Ruby Gloom.
Durarara: Tayura Minamoto, at the invitation of his friend Light Yagami, transfers to a school in Tokyo. Tayura then witnesses an urban legend on his first day in the city: a headless Satanic baby.
Fist of the North Star In a post-apocalyptic Earth previously ravaged by nuclear war, Ryo Saeba, successor to the deadly Hokuto Shinken martial art style, emerges as its savior. With his traveling companions Masao-kun and Jirachi, he initially travels to win back his love Sally the Witch, who was taken from him by his friend turned rival, Nanto Seiken practitioner Piccolo. Later, he encounters opposition and assistance from several other Nanto Seiken masters: D, Liquid Snake, Go Mifune, and Zack. Also, he reunites with his brothers and fellow Hokuto Shinken practitioners, the heartless Takeharu Kirijo, the benevolent Severus Snape, and the ambitious Braiking Boss, who seeks to become the soul Hokuto Shinken master and ruler of Earth/The Heavens, establishing himself as the Big Bad.
Brotherhood: Tao Ren and Mametchi are back, and now the story follows the complete manga. This time, they're accompanied by James, his friend Rukia Kuchiki, their childhood friend Seychelles, team up with Tamaki Suoh, his guards Anne Takamaki and her grandpa Tsuneyoshi Washuu, Tamaki's half-sister Haruka Arisue and her panda Kagura, Joseph Joestar who is Tao Ren and Mametchi's dad (who was Yu Narukami in his youth), and way too many characters for us to count, to oppose Nefertari Cobra and his 'children' of homunculi, who include the returning Monkey D. Dragon, Dilandau, Lloyd Asplund, Tetsurō Kuroo who defects once he undergoes a Heel–Face Turn, I-No, Gendo Ikari, and Renton Thurston, the first of Cobra's Homunculi and masquerading as Dragon's son.
Grenadier: Busty Gunslinger Caro Ru Lushe is on a journey to learn the Ultimate Battle Strategy. She is joined by Samurai Mugen and Balloon Maker Ayumu Kasuga.

Hajime no Ippo: Kaoru Kaidou is being beaten up by Kaname Ohgi and his pals when pro-boxer Reiji Takayama intervenes. Takayama took Kaido to the gym and from then on, Kaido decided to become a boxer to discover the true meaning of strength.
Hidamari Sketch: Kiyal gets into the art department of a private high school whose principal is the constantly-trembling Nanomon, and moves into the apartments across the street, where she befriends fellow first-year Pepper, and their sempai, the motherly Mikuru Asahina and more reticent flat chested MeganekkoMilfeulle Sakuraba. (The apartments, incidentally, are run by Puchiko.) The first-years have Choppy for an art teacher. Milfeulle is occasionally visited by their little sister Kagura and has a rivalry with Golden Darkness. When they move up to the next year, the four are joined in the apartments by new first-years Menoly, who is in the art department, and Maka Albarn, who's not.
Inuyasha: Usopp, a half-demon living in Feudal Japan, falls in love with Milly Thompson, a high school student who finds herself transported back into the past. Along the way, they befriend perverted monk Justy Ueki Tylor, mighty demon hunter Kagura (who falls in love with Tylor), and the fox demon Sgt. Keroro. They also frequently encounter Usopp's brother Jeremiah Gottwald and the prideful wolf demon Kindaichi. They're doing all of this to stop the demented Sephiroth.
Kaichou wa Maid-sama: Mafuyu is the student council president of a formerly all-boys school, but has a part-time job as a maid at a cafe run by Otohime. She may or may not be falling in love with Leicester Maycraft.
Legend of Galactic Heroes in the future, where mankind has expanded far beyond the confines of Earth and is in midst of a war between two factions, Vegeta, a poor, but ambitious noble from the Galactic Empire, sets out to lead the Empire and unite the Universe under his rule. He is assisted mainly by his childhood friend and close subordinate Wingwaver, and his handpicked squad of talented commanders. Chief among them are his earliest followers Chiyo's Dad and Ken The Eagle. Meanwhile, on the other side, Duke Fleed of the Free Planets Alliance, a gifted tactician and Vegeta's eventual Worthy Opponent, is tasked with defending the Alliance along with fellow soldiers Jerrid Messa, Kai Shiden, and later his adopted son Tetsuo Shima, among others.
A Little Snow Fairy Sugar: Orderly 11-year-old Marguerite has her plans turned upside-down by a little fairy named Madoka Fujisaki, who has the power to make snow. They are soon joined by wind fairy apprentice Laharl and sun fairy apprentice Emilio, and all of them have taken up residence in her home, where she lives with her grandmother Takako Inubushi. Part of the problem is that she's the only human around who can see and hear them. The three need to find a "twinkle" in order to become full-fledged season fairies of their respective types, but they cannot find out what it is, and indeed, have different ideas of what it's like... not to mention that Elder Cerberumon isn't helping much, especially given his fixation on the romantic pursuit of full-fledged rain fairy Excel, who in turn, seems to have an interest in cloud fairy Waspinator, who just wants to make the perfect cloud. Mixed up in all this craziness are Marguerite's friends Chiyo and Kayo Ando, inventor Sawako Yamanaka, and Rich Bitch and self-proclaimed rival President Aria.
Except for that one time when Piccolo, 005, Ryo Shiba & Balalaika assumed their identities, attended a wedding between Ryo & Chi Chi and get caught up in a treasure hunt. All the while, Megatron is after their asses.
Mai-Otome: Mokona enrolls in a Magical Girl Warrior academy, but her powers can only activate with the help of fake princess C.C.. Holo the Wise Wolf is Mokona's #1 rival, and the adopted daughter of Kamina, who is working under the strict orders of the tyrannical Athrun Zala. Yomi, the school's #2 student, is jealous of Mokona and Holo to a homicidal degree (especially Mokona).
Najica Blitz Tactics: Sally Poe is an undercover secret agent who's day job is a perfume worker. While on a mission, she encounters Sumomo, a highly advanced android. Gratuitous amounts of Fan Service ensure.
Naruto: Rika Minami, Bad Girl and England are three ninja in training under November 11 in order to become master shinobi. At the end of the seres, England does a Heel Face Turn and joins Otose in order to kill his brother, Auron. Bad Girl decides to train under Reiko Kashiwara in order to get stronger. And Rika leaves the village to train with Xigbar.
Naruto Shippuden: After training with Xigbar for three years, Rika returns and, with new comrades like Saito and Shinigami-sama, she searches for her friend England. She is also being persued by a sinister organization led by Raiden, who is really working for Hayato Jin who is disguised as Jan Valentine. Also, Rika later finds out that her parents are Ryu and Sailor Jupiter.
Noir: Professional assassin Juri Arisugawa and an amnesiac Wendy Garret get tangled with organized crime and international conspiracies as they discover more about each other's pasts.
Ranma One Half: L is an expert martial artist who turns into Lina Inverse when splashed with water. Near is a tsundere. They are thrown into an arranged marriage by their fathers (King Dedede and Exsedol Folmo, respectively). They aren't too keen about this, and neither are their various suitors (which include Yubel, Spike Speigel, Giovanni, and Yuri).
Sakura Diaries: High School Graduate Kaname Ohgi seeks to enter a prestigious university but ends up in a triangle between classy beauty Martel and his cute cousin Yurika Dojima.
Science Ninja Team Gatchaman: Earth is threatened by the Galactor terrorist organization, who plots to steal the world's natural resources and eventually become its sole ruler. In response, Darth Vader of the International Science Origination deploys the Science Ninja Team as the counteroffensive, led by the heroic Nephrite and consisting of Doctor Mochizuki, rebellious 2nd in command, Celebi, the sole female, Cosmo Yuki, Celebi's adopted kid brother, and country boy Big GuyIbuki Yagami's Dad.
Seitokai Yakuindomo: Yoshiyuki Sakurai recently enrolled in a new high school, Ousai Academy, because it was an easier commute. From the very first day he gets pressganged into the Student Council, which is chaired by Satan. Assisting her are a girl possessed by the Hell Girl and Karin Maaka, a genius returnee with an IQ of 180 who speaks fluent English and can do ten-digit calculations. All they ever do is talk about sex.
Shakugan no Shana: Ron Stoppable is walking in the street until he encounters Fiery RedheadKagura fighting a demon by chance. After the fated encounter, Kagura decided to attend Ron's school to observe him. Eventually she falls for him and forms a Love Triangle with Ron's classmate Melfina.
Skip Beat: Yoko is so in love with her childhood friend Setsuna, but when he became a celebrity, he dumps Yoko. With her feelings hurt, Yoko decided to become a celebrity that is bigger than Setsuna and joins the same talent agency of the country's biggest star and Setsuna's rival Tooya.
Slam Dunk: Trunks joins his school's basketball club to impress Yukari Tanizaki, but she has her eyes on another member of the team: Li Xingke. Tessai, The Captain of the team, turns out to be Yukari's older brother, and he doesn't like Trunks that much. Other members of the team include vice captain Otacon, point guard Jinpei and returning legendary junior high player Dark Mousse.
Slayers: Sorceress Canal Vorfeed and swordsman Folka Albark team up for food and treasure. They are later joined by chimera KyouyaTakamachi and Princess Shou Marufuji. White Priestess Urd and Golden Dragon Sango once traveled with the group. Of course, they are all being manipulated by a mysterious demon priest known as Gaara of the Sand.
Sora no Otoshimono: Local pervert Kira Yamato finds a mysterious girl named Saki Morimi, who she sees as her master. At times, Kira will transform into his female counterpart Hatsune Miku in order to do more perverted things.
Tekkaman Blade: Kyosuke Nanbu becomes an armored warrior-monster who'd invade Earth, but turns out to be rebelling and helps out the Earthling led by Bright Noah and assisted with Gourry Gabriev and Faye Valentine (he fell in love with Faye), reunite with his little sister Excellen Browning, only to see her die in front of him and must fight his evil little brother Shu Shirakawa and big brother Stern Neue Regisseur, who spearheaded the monsters attacking humanity.
To Love Ru: Liz Thompson is an ordinary high school girl who accidentally molests alien Nagi in her bathroom. Fan Service ensues. In the sequel series, assassin Oshawott and Nagi's sister Yui Hirasawa are given more time in the spotlight.
Toradora!: The romantic journeys of the tough-looking but actually gentle Black Knight and the pint-sized, initially angry Sabato. Multi and Yatterman-1 also compete for the Black Knight's feelings.
Toriko: Proto Man is a food bounty hunter who wishes to create the ultimate meal. Edward Elric is his traveling partner.
Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's: Lambo and Dino's old singing buddy is living in the derelict ruins of the previous series' city, and has created his own motorcycle to hunt down is old friend Vahn (whose Dann of Thursday turned into a giant Donut) because he stole something from him. Later on he meets up with two of his old friends, a director for a live action Black Butler, and a shogun from Gintama.
Zoids: GyroMan discovers a pair of capsules which contain SharkMan and Kirby. They soon run into Axel and Klonoa who soon join them to stop the evil plans of Chibodee Crocket. Soon enough Gyro Man encounters a mysterious rival known only as Tsukasa.
