A classic TV show from the 1970s, albeit one that has vanished into obscurity today.
Number 96 was an Australian Prime Time Soap that followed the lives of residents of a block of flats in Sydney. It quickly gained notoriety for its subject matter, being the first TV show not only full frontal nudity and onscreen sex, but also a long-running homosexual relationship that drew no interest from other characters. It was made into a feature film in 1974
An American version was also made, but was heavily Bowdlerised -- the sexual content was removed and the comedy was emphasized over the drama.
This TV series contains examples of:
- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Only the Movie, a few episodes and a TV special have been released to DVD.
- Missing Episode: Many of the Black-and-White episodes fell victim to a wipe-and-reuse policy
- Ms. Fanservice: This show launched Abigail's career.
