- Gundam Wing: In the next-to-last episode, as Heero prepares to go out and fight Big Bad Milliardo Peacecraft, Relena begs him not to go, fearing that he plans on attempting suicide in battle (he spent a good portion at the start of the show doing such). Heero responds by pulling her close, looking her in the eye, smiling, and explaining that This Is Something He's Got to Do Himself, finishing with "But I promise you, I will come back to you. So please, believe in me." As he returns to battle, she quietly responds: "I do believe in you."
- There's also Quatre leaving the colony after finding the amnesiac Trowa but not being able to break through him. Trowa, however, senses something familiar and tells his sister Cathy that Quatre, who is right then fighting in a Taurus, is calling out to him and crying. Some minutes later, when Quatre is done with his battle... he sees that Trowa has taken a mobile suit and is joining him.
- In Endless Waltz, after firing his empty gun at Mariemaia, and saying that he will no longer kill again, Heero passes out from his injuries. Relena runs to Heero, catches him in her arms, and comforts him.
