  • Since I'm blocked, I'm starting the conversation here, and hope replies come quick:

    About The Hungerverse:

    • You really need to read the Cracked article to understand why these movies are part of a shared cinematic universe.

Here, I'll post the link again:

    Cracked Outlines the Hungerverse

    • Sadly, I don't have any official confirmation that this shared universe exists...but I also don't have confirmation that it DOESN'T.

It's just that, once you see the movies, then you read the Cracked article, it all fits together.

    • That being said, I don't want a flame war over this, and I admit that the Cracked article is all I got to show for it regarding sources, so if you want to delete the page, I'll fully accept it.

  • I never claimed to be a "freedom fighter", so I have no idea where is this coming from.

And I never tagged anythging incorrectly...those pages DID need majopr cleanup. Everything else that didn't, I left alone.

I mean, I never tagged anything incorrectly, I just did some much-needed cleanup on some pages. I left all other pages alone, so I don't know what Hyoroemon is talking about-

  • I have blocked you from editing because I saw you making edits that were abusive and driven by your personal distaste as opposed to the policies of this wiki.

First off, there is no excuse for treating others with disrespect over any disagreement here. Either be civil or go elsewhere.

Second, IRL I'm a non-denominational Protestant, but this wiki is a neutral zone for politics, ethics, and religion. If you cannot be objective about your personal beliefs and respect that of others, you can go elsewhere.

Finally, on one of the specific tropes that got you called on the carpet: The Three Faces of Eve. The trope itself is a writing convention, based off the three aspects Eve in the Bible was said to possess, such as being innocent before the Fall (The Child), being the first mother (The Wife), and being the one who enticed Adam to eat the fruit and thus led him into sin (The Seductress).

This is NOT something to take personally, it is merely a writing trope that has been used in countless works of fiction since, and if you can be objective and look at the Bible as a collection of stories, absent any religious bias, it codified a trope used in countless other works, it's truth or falsehood is immaterial for the purposes said work served in codifying this trope.

I can put aside my religious prejudices and remain objective about things that are objective facts. So can you, or you can go elsewhere.

    The choice is yours.

    • I didn't mean to cause triuble or being disrespectful of anyone or anything.

I'm sorry if I let my religious beliefs get the better of me. I promise I won't do it again.

      I'm sorry, I really am.

I just ask you to lessen the block. Just make it one month, or one week.

I'm perfectly willing to admit my fault in this, and I regret my actions.

    • Very well, I'm glad you've fallen on your sword and admitted fault.

I will lower the block to one month.

Bear in mind if this happens again afterwards, the block will be reinstated at no less than three months and will raise again if there is another incident after that.

      Thank you.

I promise that, next time, I will think before I act.

  • Nice to meet you, King Phelous. As much as I am not a fan of current TGWTG and TV Tropes, I get good vibes about you. Phelous was one of the underrated reviewers of the group, and he was pretty cool. I like what you've been doing around here, and I would like to give you my compliments.

Have a good day/night King Phelous.

  • This fork of ATT and alternative/counterpart Wiki, The True Tropes , is fairly new and in need of more regular uers and editors to fix things up on the site (adding pages, editing them, fixing broken redirects, etc). I invite you to join us there, so please consider giving it your time and attention if you wish to. ^^
