  • "Stop Having Fun!" Guys - Hosuke Dekai says "It's not about having fun, it's about winning and losing!" in the first chapter.
  • Tear Jerker:
    • Shiron tells Ken to put his faith into Shiron's last attack, which destroys the Jabberwock, but Ken is unable to communicate with Shiron, thus ending their short-lived time together.
    • The ending: Shiron defeats the Jabberwock, but after that, all the Legendz disappear, and nobody remembers them; all pictures of Legendz fade, all of the characters' memories are wiped, and all things Legendz related are forgotten or attributed to something else.
  • Unfortunate Implications - A common fan theory is that one of the reasons the anime wasn't picked up was because the Main Character, Shiron's, name effectively translates to "Whitey". Or "essay," or "historical treatise."
  • What Do You Mean It's Not for Kids? - This show looks kiddy, but refer to the Humans Are Bastards, and Mood Whiplash on the main page. Also, some of the Legendz had a strong intention of starting a monster war, good (Garion) or bad (Ranshiin).
  • The Woobie - Dino Sparks, and also Zuou the Bigfoot. The former due to Parental Abandonment, the latter due to Meg's constant initial abuse despite being arguably the nicest of the legendz.
