Japanarchist [1] is a humorous youtube channel hosted by Sonny, an American living in Japan. The channel started off as a news story reaction channel but quickly grew to include a set small animated shorts that revolved around Sonny's early life in Japan known as Found In Translation, and live action skits. Many of which are satirical looks at Japanese culture and news and western interpretations of Japanese culture.

Occasionally Sonny has another host Mika, who hosts the Japanese Girl Explains segments, which have proven to be some of his most popular videos.

The Channel can be viewed here.

Tropes used in Japanarchist include:

  Sonny: "I suck."

  • Take That: He does lots of them, Fan Fiction writers, Yaoi fans, the star wars prequels, Twilight, Japanese culture, Americans, but mostly himself.
  • Twincest: Implied and parodied.
  • Visual Pun: The images in the background will often be picture's closely related to the topics at hand, thought they are not always puns.
  • Yaoi Guys: Featured, examined and parodied. Twice the first time with South Park Doujin the second time with Star Wars.

Notes

  1. Ironically the channel is not an anarchistic at all
