I Can Do Superbad All by Myself is the prequel to Oxenstierna D. Yuki-Rin's fanfic "Piracy The Genetic Pirate Opera". In the fic, it is the day before the events of Piracy! The Genetic Pirate Opera, and the pirates who made the Genetic Pirate Opera are throwing a party to celebrate. Arthur, Francis, Lars, and Antonio are sent to get food they ordered from a pizzeria. After a horrendous cosplay of Dr. Frankenfurter, two flashbacks to a past Noodle Incident, and a botched robbery, things go downhill and Hilarity Ensues.

This fic contains examples of:

  • Extremely Short Timespan: This fic takes place over the course of one afternoon.
  • No Communities Were Harmed: Both this fic and the sequel are set in Reno, Nevada. However, the hotels and casinos used are fictional ones, and they may or may not be Expies of real casinos.
  • Noodle Incident: The reason why Arthur is wary of going to Galdino's Pizza is because Galdino (a.k.a., Mr. 3) humiliated both Arthur AND Aki at Aki's birthday party several months back. Let's say it involved Comic Con San Diego, the Gemma Doyle trilogy, and an infamous corset scene.
  • Parody: Loosely parodies Superbad.
  • Suspiciously Apropos Music: Flogging Molly's "Drunken Lullabies" plays during chapter two from when Matsudaira, Arthur, and Francis fiddle with the radio in the cop car to when Arthur gets hit by a car.
