  • Captain America managed to get Deadpool to shut up in the Green Lantern vs. Captain America video. Shooting Deadpool doesn't shut him up.
  • Lex Luthor and Superman both get one as Lex tries to seduce Superman to join his scheme to destroy the Marvel Universe and Superman offers the perfect rebuttal.

Superman: What could possibly make you think I would help you destroy an entire universe?

Lex: Because it's the right thing to do.

Superman: You're insane!

Lex: Because the Marvel Universe has corrupted everything you stand for, all in the name of high drama. Think about it, Kal-El! Your job is to be an inspiration for people. Someone they can look up to, someone they can aspire to be like. In steadfastness, in character, in ideals, and what did Marvel offer? They said "Don't worry, you don't have to aspire to anyone in our books. You just have to relate to them." And now we have an entire culture that thinks that who they are is just fine, and how dare anyone suggest that they could improve themselves! Why aspire to be Superman when it's so much easier to relate to Spider-Man? No one wants to look up to you anymore, Superman. They don't want to strain their necks. Instead, they look straight ahead at the compromised heroes in front of them and say that'll do just fine. Don't you see? We have the power to put it all back the way it was! The way it should be! You can still be the inspiration you once were! You can still make a difference. Isn't that why you became a hero in the first place?

Superman: I also became a hero to stand for certain principles. And this thing you're suggesting, for better or worse it would be a lie. And of all the things I stand for, truth always comes first.

  • Superman dies and ascends to Fluffy Cloud Heaven. There he meets the spirit of Captain America, who gives him inspiration to come back and make the difference to stop Luthor.
  • Supes' speech to Luthor at the climax of After Hours #7, right before he breaks the temporal device that should doom them both to eternity in the pocket space.
  • Most of the heroes are brainwashed to become parodies of the edgy, dark age popularized characters and are about to torture the Green Goblin and Spider-Man. The Goblin proceeds to wipe the floor with all of them. Too bad it was all in his head.
    • Heck, almost anything Goblin does in this series belongs either here or Crowning Moment of Funny, but his smackdown to Lex at the end of the first installment surely belongs here if nothing else does:

Lex: Say goodbye to the world you know! From this moment on, you are all at the mercy of Lex Luthor, the greatest criminal mind of our--

Goblin: AHHHH, SHUT UP! (throws a pumpkin bomb at him)

Lex: WHAT?! (gets knocked down by the explosion)

Goblin: Damn, I've been waitin' to use one of these!

Lex: Osborn, you imbecile!

Goblin: Still all talk, no action! Come on, cueball -- you want me, come get me!

Lex: You fool, this was never about you!

Goblin: The hell it wasn't! You threatened to wipe out Spider-Man and everything he stands for! That's my job. (knocks Lex to the floor with one punch)

    • Dafoe, Dafoe, Dafoe.
  • Batman demonstrating once again why the Batman Gambit is named after him, managing to use the events of One More Day to his advantage even though he can't remember them.
  • Batman chewing out Spider-Man for wanting to imitate him and Spider-Man saying it just glorified him.
  • Batman coming to the rescue of Spidey and Green Goblin at the end of Happy Hour #2 with the BTAS Batman theme playing. Awesome!

Brainwashed!Superman: "I'll say this for you Spiderman. You never give up. I like that."

Batman: "Then you're going to love me."

  • During the events of Happy Hour (where the heroes have their perception of reality altered by the Joker so as to make them more like Batman), Spiderman is unaffected (due to the events of One More Day, meaning his mind has already been altered), despite Joker's best attempts. After Joker at one point tells Spiderman how he's an idiot who doesn't know when to give up, Spiderman gives the following reply of awesome:

Spiderman: Maybe I don't know when I've been beaten, but maybe that's why you can't beat me. You've been trying, haven't you? You tried to make me think all my loved ones were killed in order to make me some darker version of myself. Well guess what? My mother is dead, my father is dead, my uncle was shot- even my girlfriend was murdered-

Green Goblin: I can vouch for that.

Spiderman: The point is, I have lost everything I ever cared about, and I'm still here with all the morals I started with. Now you're looking for some magic button to push to change me. Well you give it all you've got, because I'm either too strong or too stupid to lose hope!

    • At the end of Happy Hour, Batman (and Superman, through Batman telling him) know what happened during the events of One More Day (while Spiderman, in this portrayal, doesn't remember). Batman and Superman end up in a mild argument about whether or not they should tell Spiderman. Batman finishes their talk, and the 'event', with the following:

 Superman: It isn't right-

Batman: Of course it isn't right! But we can't help him. Only his writers and artists and fans can do that. You need to understand something Clark: we both give everything we've got to fight for justice, but at the end of the day, you're still the most powerful being on Earth, and I'm still one of the richest men in the world. Spiderman has neither luxury. He has had to sacrifice everything, time and again, more than either of us ever will. That's what he does. That's who he is. Maybe one day he'll have a chance to get things straightened out, but until then he'll deal with it. Because he can take it. Because he's a hero. And because not all heroes have to be dark. Because he's one hero whose spirit can't be broken. Because no matter what, he'll always be... your friendly neighbourhood Spiderman.
