  • All images MUST now have proper attribution, those who neglect to assign at least the "fair use" licensing to an image may have it deleted. All new pages should use the preloadable templates feature on the edit page to add the appropriate basic page markup. Pages that don't do this will be subject to deletion, with or without explanation.
  • All new trope pages will be made with the "Trope Workshop" found on the "Troper Tools" menu and worked on until they have at least three examples. The Trope workshop specific templates can then be removed and it will be regarded as a regular trope page after being moved to the Main namespace. THIS SHOULD BE WORKING NOW, REPORT ANY ISSUES TO Janna2000, SelfCloak or RRabbit42. DON'T MAKE PAGES MANUALLY UNLESS A TEMPLATE IS BROKEN, AND REPORT IT THAT IS THE CASE. PAGES WILL BE DELETED OTHERWISE IF THEY ARE MISSING BASIC MARKUP.

Note: This page is about the Miniseries on The Hub. If you're looking for the film, go here. If you're looking for the original board game, go here. Nor does this have anything to do with the British Cluedo Series, which was a Game Show.

Clue is a 5-episode Miniseries based on the board game that debuted on The Hub on November 14, 2011. At a charity event, six teenagers witness what they believe to be a murder, but when they tell the authorities they're surprised that no one believes them. So, the teens decide to solve the mystery themselves.

Tropes used in Clue (TV series) include:
  • Adults Are Useless: Except for when they're in on the conspiracy.
  • Badass Damsel: Sarah Ellis
  • Batman Gambit
  • Big Bad Ensemble: Between Whittaker, who wants to the Tesla device to make a profit, and Kroger, who at least claims to be a Well-Intentioned Extremist.
  • Clear My Name: A Lighter and Softer variation. They're not accused of the crime themselves, but the main characters are suspended from school for allegedly pulling a hoax and ruining a charity event. They all try to solve the crime themselves to restore their good standings.
  • Color Coded for Your Convenience: Liz's hair is dyed red and most of the other characters wear something of their corresponding color most of the time. A relatively subtle example, but it's there.
  • Cult: The Order of Black
  • Expy: All of the main characters are based off of characters from the board game.
    • Seamus: Mr. Green
    • Lucas: Professor Plum
    • Liz: Miss Scarlet
    • Whitney: Mrs. White
    • Dmitri: Colonel Mustard
    • Agnes: Mrs. Peacock
    • Adam Ellis: Mr. No Boddy
  • High School AU: The series could be interpreted as this.
  • Kid Detective
  • Lost Technology: A free energy device created by Nikola Tesla.
  • Oblivious to Love: Lucas is completely unaware of Whitney's crush on him. He quickly catches on, though.
  • Orphan's Plot Trinket: Liz has one.
  • Out-Gambitted: Sarah Ellis does this to both sides!
  • Secret Legacy: Each of the main characters have a connection with one of the six secret houses of The Order of Black.
  • Six-Student Clique
    • The Head: Dmitri
    • The Muscle: Seamus
    • The Quirk: Lucas
    • The Pretty One: Liz
    • The Smart One: Whitney
    • The Wild One: Agnes
  • Sequel Hook: And how. That secret room they've been hanging out in? Somebody's watching it, and them.
  • Twin Banter: Between Whittaker's two henchmen.
  • You Should Know This Already: In-series. It was in the bedroom with a candlestick, and the audience sees it happen.
