Brandon Walsh

portrayed by Jason Priestley

Brandon is positioned as The Hero of the series. He's the moral centre of his friend group and always tries to help out. On the flip side he tends not to entirely own his mistakes and mostly gives people a hard time when it's meant to look as though he's apologising. Today, he's consider a notorious mansplainer.

Andrea Zuckerman

portrayed by Gabrielle Carteris

Andrea's a smart, driven and goal-focused girl, almost to the point of wearing blinders, which masks a social awkwardness and feeling of being on the outside coming from a lower middle class-income amongst the wealth of Beverly Hills.

Donna Martin

  • Break the Cutie
  • Characterization Marches On: Despite being in the opening credits, the character was featured in a co-starring capacity before being truly added to the main cast and, at the beginning, Donna was superficial, snobby, dated around, held parties when her parents weren't home and inferred being sexually active. When becoming a bigger part of the series, she's suddenly a virgin, naive and sheltered by her parents.
  • Character Development: she started as Kelly's shallow, ditzy sidekick but later the character's depth was more explored.
  • The Ditz: more in the earlier seasons.
  • Domestic Abuse: she was repeatedly abused by her boyfriend Ray Pruitt.
  • The Fashionista
  • Spoiled Sweet
