  • Crowning Moment of Funny: Far too many to list here, but one notable moment is Jennifer Coolidge's "humming."
    • The funniest moment in the film, though, has to be Mitch's increasingly depressed and suicidal album titles after his break with Mickey.
    • Lawrence Turpin reaching the end of his patience and smacking Jonathon Steinbloom on the top of the head.
  • Crowning Music of Awesome: All of the songs were written just for the movie. And all of them sound like legit folk songs.
  • Crowning Moment of Heartwarming: When Mitch and Mickey finally get their act together.
  • Ear Worm: Many of the songs, particularly "Old Joe's Place" and "Potato's in the Paddy Wagon".
  • Older Than They Think: The Folksmen predate the movie by nearly 20 years; their first "reunion performance" was on the November 3, 1984 episode of Saturday Night Live.
    • The Folksmen used to open for the band's other persona, Spinal Tap, in Tap's live concerts. They were frequently booed by the audiences, who either didn't know or didn't care that the Folksmen were actually Spinal Tap in different costumes. (In the A Mighty Wind tour, Spinal Tap opened for the Folksmen.)
